# Game development: state correctness and presentation

Four engineering cases for readers who can already build a small web game prototype. Establish authoritative state and save boundaries before offline progression and animation. This collection does not cover every engine subsystem.

| Current task | Read |
| --- | --- |
| Commit commands and saves together | [Making Every Operation in a Web Single-Player Game Truly Atomic](/en/game-development/atomic-web-game-commands) |
| Match online and offline state | [Decouple Idle Settlement from Call Frequency](/en/game-development/deterministic-offline-progression) |
| Create action frames from character art | [From Character Concept Art to Animation Frame Sequences](/en/game-development/character-art-to-animation-frames) |
| Align hits and animation events | [Making Action Sprite Frames Hit on Time in Combat](/en/game-development/battle-animation-event-clock) |

Practice: in one prototype, inject save failure, partition offline time randomly, and vary rendering frame rate. Check authoritative state, semantic instance IDs, and hit events separately. Equal resource totals alone do not establish equal saves.
